FKA twigs has shared another single off her highly anticipated new LP Magdalene, which comes out October 25 via Young Turks. It’s called “home with you” and it’s one of the more overtly experimental songs released from Magdalene so far, with a cloudy atmosphere and melancholic piano that sounds a little like Radiohead’s “Pyramid Song.” FKA wrote and produced the song with help from Ethan P. Flynn, and she also directed and co-choreographed its video, which matches the mood of the song well. “You can take the girl out of the suburbs but you can’t take the suburbs out of the girl,” says FKA twigs. “‘home with you’ reinforced my reoccurring suspicion that when i’m in doubt, I should follow my gut and go home.”
As mentioned, FKA twigs is also touring, including Brooklyn shows on November 20 & 21 at Kings Theatre (tickets). All dates are listed below.
